Gray skies. Dripping rain. It seems as though it will never stop.
The ground is soaked, the plants watered, yet rain continues to drop
On and on, seemingly forever. When will we again see the sun?
When will be able to enjoy good weather, a walk or a run?
Drip, drip, off the roof comes drop after drop
nobody is out today, not motivating to shop
who wants to get all wet again?
perhaps it’s best to stay in.
It’s interesting to think about how in other places
they are desperate for rain to fall on their faces
to water their crops and replenish their reservoirs
while we complain about having to stay indoors
Rain, constant drip, aggravating at times it seems
yet so desperately needed, like a refreshing breeze
Just as in life, some of the most annoying situations
are used by God to draw closer to Him His creation
Although drips may seem like a nuisance today
They remind us that our God has a higher way
the same irritations that persist to our chagrin
also water our souls, drawing us closer to Him
