I’m grateful for this time I’ve had
it has been really great, not bad
so wonderful the kids to see
and with my wife in person to be
I enjoyed the early morning walks
so that we could have uninterrupted talks
After the bad storms on Friday, which delayed my flight
the weather has been gorgeous, a true delight.
Thank you for this opportunity, Lord
to see my family, in my in-laws’ abode
their generosity in hospitality astounds
despite the challenges (of living together), grace abounds
Now tomorrow, again, into yet another plane I’ll pile
wishing I could just stay in one place for a while!
This season of travel has been pretty crazy
yet good, with little chance to be lazy
God, help me Your face daily to seek
that in Your Word I might find strength, though I am weak
Help me to hear well what You have for me
& to become the person You want me to be!
For these experiences I feel so
…grateful.
